Before you come

What we are (and what we’re not)

Let me try to explain briefly what we are, or what we’re not 😅

We’re not a campsite, we don’t rent tents, we don’t have an equipped parking area for campers or vans, we’re not a restaurant or a bar, and there’s no fee to pay. 🤷🏼

Valle Scala is a place where everyone is welcome. There’s a happy couple living here and there ⛵, and together with them friends and international volunteers, people who live a bit here and a bit around the world, all sharing a common vision: turning a beautiful woodland into a welcoming place, with a sense of community. 🌳

There’s an outdoor kitchen, a wood-fired pizza oven, a bathroom, a shower, an honesty bar (you choose the price of the beers), pitches in the woods, hammocks, a few spots for vans (under 6 metres long), and someone to chat with about how your day went. 🍻

We don’t sell anything and we don’t have a price list: there’s a little box near the kitchen where, if you like, you can leave a donation, so we can keep being open and welcoming without drowning in bills. 😅

You can’t book: call us the day before you arrive and we’ll tell you how things look. But there’s usually always room. 🤗
